Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

A cumulative oxygen therapy that dissolves extra oxygen into your blood to support recovery, energy, healthy ageing and cellular repair. Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes in our medical-grade chamber, ideally three to five times a week.

How It Works

Oxygen under pressure

Inside a pressurised chamber you breathe oxygen at greater than normal atmospheric pressure. This dissolves significantly more oxygen into your blood plasma, carrying it to tissues that may receive less under normal conditions. That extra oxygen fuels the body's natural processes of repair and regeneration — from new blood vessel formation and tissue healing to cellular energy, circulation and cognitive function. HBOT is cumulative, so the benefits build through a course of sessions rather than a single visit.

Safety

Safe, supervised and well tolerated

Delivered by trained, EBASS-certified operators, HBOT has been used in clinics worldwide for decades and is generally safe and well tolerated. The most common effects are mild and temporary — a feeling of ear or sinus pressure during pressurisation, much like an aeroplane take-off. Every client completes a medical screening beforehand, and an untreated collapsed lung (pneumothorax) is the one absolute contraindication and must be disclosed.

Before you book

Tell us if you are pregnant, have lung, ear or sinus conditions, recent surgery,

seizures or take any medication. Wear loose 100% cotton clothing and remove electronics,

jewellery and petroleum-based products.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Questions, answered

How many sessions will I need?

HBOT is cumulative, so the benefits build over a course rather than a single visit. For general wellness and recovery we suggest 10 to 20 sessions, three to five times a week. For regenerative or healthy-ageing programmes, many practitioners use 40 sessions at 90 minutes. Maintenance is typically one session a week, or two to four a month. Every plan is tailored to your goals.

I'm new to HBOT — where do I start?

We recommend a single trial session first. It lets you get comfortable in the chamber, learn ear-equalisation techniques and experience the treatment for yourself before committing to a full programme.

What does it feel like inside the chamber?

Most people find it calm and relaxing. As the chamber pressurises you'll feel pressure in your ears, like an aeroplane take-off, eased with simple swallowing or yawning. Once at pressure that feeling disappears and you can read, listen to music, watch a film or rest — some clients even drift off to sleep.

What can I take into the chamber?

For fire safety in an oxygen-rich environment, only approved items are allowed. You'll be asked to leave phones, smart watches, jewellery, lighters, cosmetics, perfumes and petroleum-based products outside. Please check with your operator before bringing a book or personal item.

What should I wear?

Loose, comfortable clothing in natural fibres like cotton. You may be provided with 100% cotton garments. Avoid anything contaminated with oils or chemicals, flammable hair products and petroleum-based creams. If you're also having red light therapy, you may prefer clothing with more skin exposure.

Am I a candidate for HBOT?

Many people are suitable, including those supporting recovery, wellness, performance and healthy ageing. Every client completes a medical screening first. Please tell us if you are pregnant, have lung, ear, sinus, heart or seizure conditions, recent surgery, or take certain medications. An untreated collapsed lung is an absolute contraindication to treatment.

Is HBOT safe?

Conducted by trained operators following established procedures, HBOT is generally safe and well tolerated, and has been used in clinics worldwide for decades. The most common effects are mild and temporary, such as ear or sinus pressure during pressurisation. Sessions are supervised throughout.

Why choose Rouge Reformer?

Our medical-grade, hard-shell, dual-place chamber operates at up to 2.0 ATA for higher oxygen delivery than many soft-shell chambers. Treatments are delivered by an EBASS-certified operator, with a strong focus on safety, comfort and personalised care.

How will I feel afterwards?

Most clients leave feeling calm, refreshed and mentally clear, often with more energy and better sleep that night. Some feel a little tired after the first few sessions as the body adapts to increased oxygen. Everyone responds slightly differently.
